What is Hardware?

Hardware is the equipment used for filming, editing, sound design, and so on. We used many different pieces of hardware technology for our opening sequence, such as a lexar pro memory card used in the cameras, of which we used a Black Magic 4K mini Ursa with an 18mm - 300 mm lens. We also used the vinten tripod to sit the camera on. We used and were shown these in both camera workshops also. At the same time, I used my MacBook Pro to write down notes for preparation, and for using the software and online technologies that were needed to prepare for the title sequence.

 

What is software?

Software is the programs and other operating information used by a computer mainly. Some examples that I used for my sequence was premiere pro, used for editing the sequence which I had never used before this, except for the editing workshops which taught us how to use the software. Other softwares I used were PowerPoint and Prezi used for evaluation and pitching the sequence idea, which is elaborated on further in post production. I also used email to communicate with other members of my group, as well as the actors in our sequence.

What is online?

Online technologies are technologies that are used from the web and internet that is then used to help create the final product, used in all three of pre production, production and post production. One of the online technologies I used was blogger, which was the main online I used, for logging down each moment of creating the sequence. Other ones are canva, an online and free poster creating website and app, YouTube which was used for the static on the TV in our sequence, as well as uploading our sequence onto YouTube, and the internet for looking up logistics and information about research and looking for a good location to film, seen further in pre production.
