And how I used the technology

Hardware
Hardware is very important when shooting the sequence, there is so much expensive equipment that is used. For example:
-
The Black Magic mini Ursa camera with the vinten tripod - we used this camera to shoot our sequence which I thought was very effective to use, the tripod helped when we needed still shots or any other shots that weren't handheld
-
Sennheiser shotgun mic - we used this microphone to capture dialogue and any other sound we needed, when filming the TV show we pointed it specifically at the object that made a loud noise so we could capture the jump scare and make it more effective for the audience
-
Lexar pro memory card - we used this to capture the film we shot and transport it to premiere pro once we had finished to edit it, which made it a lot easier to do
-
light box - we had this light box with different coloured lights and lighting settings so we could use it as light from the TV so the sequence looked more realistic.
Software and Online
We did not use much software and online for the shoot day as everything was done physically, however we did use some things that were online to help with the shoot, for example:
-
Youtube - we used this to get a video of static up on the TV for when this happens in the sequence, which helped create a realistic scene which needing to actually make the TV go to static and manipulating it.
What I enjoyed using the most
The hardware used, the cameras, microphone, etc. were very fun to use and interesting, especially with exploring all the different angles and shot types that we can use, and how to use the microphone at effective angles and where to place it without getting in shot.
